During the summer months, the parks can be miserable due to heat. However, we don't want to let that hinder us from enjoying our selves! In this episode @thecaffeinatedpixie & @under_tess_sea share the best things to pack, eat, and do to make your day enjoyable, even when it's hot out. Here are a few of the highlights!

Pack for the Occasion

One thing that has really helped us survive the heat is bringing a fan! We've found ours on amazon and they've really been a game changer. CLICK HERE to see the fan that we've had great experience with. We've also found it really nice to bring a re-usable straw for your iced drinks. The parks typically will give out paper straws but we've found that it's a better experience to have a re-usable straw. The last item that you'll want is a water bottle! It's important to stay hydrated and you can refill your bottle anywhere in the parks. Also, quick services will give you free iced water. All you have to do is ask!

Eat Something Cold

Find a yummy treat! We love to get different drinks throughout California Adventure such as frozen margaritas, frozen jack and coke, or a yummy beer. We also love snacks like the blue raspberry parfait at the Adorable Snowman Treats, Jungle Juleps, or ice cream at Salt and Straw.

Find the Shade

There's lots of places that you can go to beat the heat. We have found that there are a lot more places with A/C in California Adventure such as Animation Academy, the Frozen show, or hanging out in the Grand Californian Hotel. However, you can still beat the heat in Disneyland by watching Mickey's Magical Map show, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, or viewing the cartoons on Main Street. Be sure that you take your time to relax and not overheat your body.

Being at the parks when it's hot out doesn't have to be terrible. You can still make it a fun time by following these tips & more. To hear the full list of tips, check out the full episode!
