D23 is the Disney convention that comes once every 2 years. It's basically ComicCon but everything is DISNEY! It's a fan's dream come true. The convention itself can be a little bit hectic so we want to share our experience and some of the tips and tricks we've learned along the way. Here are our top 3 tips and we'll be sharing even more on this week's episode of The Disney Download.
Tip 1: Know Your Priorities
Do you love to shop for exclusive merch? Do you love to sit in the panels? Do you want to se EVERYTHING in the expo?! Know what your priority is and make sure you choose the day to optimize that experience. From what we found, Friday was the best day for exclusive merch because that is the first day those items appear. Saturday is the best day to experience the panels and Sunday was the best day to experience the expo since the crowds were beginning to die down. If there's something you really want to do make sure to set aside time to do that.
Tip 2: Pick Out Your Panels
Some panels have longer waits than others. Make sure you take a look at the schedule and see what panels you plan on waiting for. Some may even require reservations or waiting overnight. Do your research and know which things are most important to you.
Tip 3: Prepare in Advance
Make sure to choose your accommodations ahead of time. The earlier you book your hotel, the less it will cost. Also, if you plan on visiting the parks it may be good to visit a few days early so you can fully enjoy them without crowds. Be sure to pack water and snacks because you will be waiting for quite some time and you'll want to have something to munch on.
